Celebrating Newton's railroad heritage, the Depot area in the Children's Department is one of many others depicting the history of the region.

Note the mural by Stephanie Ash of Visions at the right side of the picture. This is only one of the murals by Stephanie throughout the department.

Each of the stars hanging from the ceiling bears the name of one of the 372 children who completed the 1998 Summer Reading Program.
