In the Adult Department, the collection is grouped into sections: quick reference, telephone directories, general reference, Kansas Collection and computerized reference resources.
Quick reference materials are shelved near the Information Desk. The most requested materials should be requested at the Information Desk, such as the NADA "blue books" on car values and the latest Newton crisscross directory. The Adult Department reference collection includes business reference sources which patrons use regularly to keep track of their investments.
More reference resources are now available through the public access terminals and Adult Department Information Desk computer. The Internet and CD version of BOOKS IN PRINT can be accessed at the Information Desk computer.
