Meet the writers who live and create in our region! On Saturday, Nov. 7, Newton Public Library is hosting its second-ever Local Author Day, a celebration of creativity and storytelling featuring authors from Harvey, Reno, McPherson, and Marion counties – and beyond.

Here’s the agenda for the day:

11 AM: Panel discussion, topic and panelists TBA.

1:30-3:30 PM: Browse books, chat with authors, and discover new local reads during our author fair.

Author Sign-Up

Registration for authors who live in Harvey, Reno, McPherson, and Marion counties will open on Monday, Sept. 21. Registration for authors who live elsewhere will open on Monday, Sept. 28. Click here to register. (Registration form will not be active until Sept. 21.)

Each participating author will get a five-foot table on which to display books and promotional materials, along with a tent card to identify you. Participants are welcome to sell books and book-related merch, but the library cannot assist with collecting or processing payments.
