Radon in the Home

February 9, 2023

Radon is a natural, tasteless, odorless, colorless radioactive gas produced from the decay of uranium found in nearly all soils. One in four Kansas homes tests high for radon. Join us as we learn about the dangers of radon exposure and how to test your home. A light lunch will be provided to those who register. Presented by Brian Hanson, Radon Program Coordinator at Kansas State University. To register, call Harvey County K-State Research and Extension, 316-284-6930, by noon on Feb. 7.

Sponsored by Kansas Radon Program, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, KSU Engineering Extension, Harvey County K-State Research and Extension, The Citizens State Bank, and Newton Public Library.
