Kansas Author Talk: Brian Daldorph

Brian Daldorph will give a talk and answer questions about his book Words Is a Powerful Thing: Twenty Years of Teaching Creative Writing at Douglas County Jail. He will be joined by Todd Lehman, executive director of Newton-based nonprofit Offender Victim Ministries.

This event will be held in person at Newton Public Library. Participants can also register to join remotely via Zoom, or head to the NPL Facebook page, www.facebook.com/NewtonPublicLibraryKansas, at the time of the event to watch a livestream.

About The Author:

Brian Daldorph is a creative writing instructor at the Douglas County Jail in Lawrence, Kansas, and a senior lecturer in the English Department at the University of Kansas. He is the author of six books of poetry including Kansas Poems and Blue Notes, and the editor of the literary journal Coal City Review.
