The Case Files No. 1: Historical Mystery

By Dan Eells, deells@newtonplks.org

Sunflower eLibrary, Hoopla, Cloud Library, and RB Digital are full of mystery ebooks and audiobooks you can borrow digitally. In The Case Files, I will break down some popular mystery sub-genres and give you some great recommendations to read. In part one, I’m highlighting historical mystery.

What is historical mystery? Simply put, it’s mystery with a historical bent. Historical mystery novels are commonly set in the 19th century or earlier. Recently, the historical mystery has started to include the early 20th century: Think novels set during World War I or World War II.

Below I’ve listed and linked some historical mystery books, authors and series you can find in the eLending catalogs.
